Dell Announces Ultra HD 4K Display with Sub-$1000 Price-Point. New Dell monitors sport four times Full HD resolutionDell also announced the impending availability of the Dell 28 UltraHD Monitor. Dell bills this as "expected to be the industry's most affordable UltraHD monitor." It will offer the same 4K resolution seen in the UltraSharp models, but it will priced at "under $1,000" when it debuts. The 28-inch monitor has multiple input ports, allowing users to display content from smartphones and tablets on a larger screen, as well as to conveniently connect laptops, PCs and other accessories. Dell notes that all Ultra HD models the company sells will come with the Dell Premium Panel Guarantee. That guarantee means that Dell will replace any monitor if a customer "notices a single bright pixel," so long as the device is within the warranty period. The Dell UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD monitor is available globally starting at $3,499. The UltraSharp 24 will be available in the Americas, starting at $1,399 beginning December 16. The UltraSharp 28 Ultra HD monitor will be available in early 2014, and Dell has not specified pricing beyond saying that it will be under $1,000.
